Due to me not be able to post this in the right section i'm on the look out for the best possible price for a reseller hosting package but I am a bit scared because if I do get a load of clients, say for example 20+ the owner could potentially steal them from me but I may just stick with a reseller plan for my own use but not to sure yet.

What should I do? And how do I go about this?

Lastly I'm looking for DDoS protection along with unlimited bandwidth.

Reseller web hosting or like a VPS reseller? If your looking for web hosting then id suggest having your own solution so you don't have to worry about master host stealing your clients. Buy a VPS and install cPanel on it and make your own customization so you only have access to the VPS, if your doing a VPS reseller just buy a dedicated server it doesn't have to be expensive just something with SSD. <snipped/>

Hi Leathercrafting

I would not worry about your provider stealing your clients, I'm sure this has happened to someone but any host that goes looking through your customer database is a sleeze ball, providers should respect the privacy of customers data. <snipped/>

The customer is culpable too though. This is one reason I have long advocated that serious hosting companies use a dedicated server or at a minimum a KVM VPS

I though self-promotion wasn't allowed here? You guys are skating on thin ice.

@LeatherCrafting - if a provider stole his customer's clients he wouldn't be in business very long! Pretty much all hosting infrastructure is covered to some extent by their provider's DDOS system.

Correct. Providing offers is only allowed in the Offers or Requests sections.

Good webhost do not involve in stealing of their customers' clients as it will tarnish their goodwill. Some reseller plans have white label hosting. If one purchase dedicated server or VPS hosting still all the functionality of the reseller plan can be availed. Most of the web hosts claim to offer unlimited bandwidth until limit and charge once the limit is reached.

You should not worry about a provider "stealing" your customers, because you would have already done your research on the provider to make sure they are reputable first, right!? And the solution is not to use a VPS as a workaround. Simply choose a reputable provider and backup your own cPanel accounts to offsite backup account, that way if you aren't happy with a provider you can just restore your cPanel accounts to a different provider.

A serious legit registered company will not do that at no cost because you can sue them, and noone is gona to deal with any gov institutions/courts.
