This is pure feedback and no disrespect to the people who made this site/forum.

My honest feedback is the homepage is a bit clustered if it was slow which it ain't I would totally have left the site, so good job on that one.

The forums - Navigating around the forums is pretty tricky because when you click the "FORUMS" on the nav-bar, at the top of https://forumweb.hosting/ it just directs you to the homepage, my feedback for this is why not direct the "FORUMS" icon directly to the whole forums including everything while still having the drop down menu.

I agree it seemed pretty cluttered when I first saw it but now I'm pretty accustom to it now.

No...I like feedback like this, it is honest review from someone who is wanting to help or improve our forum better. I appreciated that. Thank you!

I understand this feeling because almost people are familiar to traditional layouts on forum cms, it's difficult to acquaint with something new. I could not improve loading speed more at this time because its having many ads, but I will try to move it to a new hosting or optimize server to make it load faster.

Yes its a bit tricky on this link because I could not direct "forums" to other page, our site didn't have forums and index page separately. "forums" is "index" page though.

Because i want to focus on main things which visitors want to view or visiting them. That's reason why I moved "Internet Marketing" or "Web Design & Development" boxes to near bottom of the homepage. Because I don't want make these forum sections important on a web hosting forum.

Yes you are exact, when become familiar with this forum homage, you will easily navigate or find everything you want on the forum, even you will like it when you visit it many times. I feel bored when visited some forums that using default or tradition layouts. They look so old and not creative. of course this is just my thoughts, everyone has different views.

I agree with that totally. I think the Forums link should link to first page of the forums, which I have yet to see.

I like it. Quite refreshing compared to other standard VB-based hosting forums. Though the home page could definitely be cleaned up a bit. Doesn't need as much info.

Alexa reports "Average". The site loads quite quick for me considering the amount of content, but sure, the response time could be improved.

Is there a "classic view" of the forums? The old-school way of viewing all forums, categories, subforums and descriptions with icons?

Something like

Am I missing something here?

I asked the same thing some time ago and think the Admin said there isn't a "classic" type view for FWH for SEOs reasons because content may be duplicated or something like that (if I remember correctly). Will wait for Admin to answer.

You are not missing anything in this question, you are exact, I understand The simplicity or "Don't Make Me Think" is always better but I could not use this formula for many reasons, I could not tell you all here hence it is impossible to use the default theme on this forum.

Exactly It is just one of very many reasons I didn't want to use a default theme (classic view) on this forum. I can share you a small thing, there are dozens of people using 'classic view' on vB community contacted me to buy this forum theme but I didn't sell it, just using it for ForumWeb or webmastersun.

Honestly, I designed this forum template on a screen 27 inches, so it will be viewed the best when you view it on screens as 21,24 or 27 inches. 17 and 19 inches screen is not recommended to view the forum because it will be a bit clutter when viewing content on the forum homepage, that's reason why some of you complained about the forum homepage, maybe you are using a small PC monitor.

Also, I can change forum theme anytime if we need a better theme, but not at this time, this time we should focus on helping members on the forum and make the community grow faster.

Cheers,

At first glance the home page can seem a bit cluttered but that's probably because many people are used to the default or similar to default themes/styles/skins/etc. that many forums use.

When someone lands on the home page it helps to have something that catches that persons eye. Since different people like and are interested in different things it sometimes can be helpful to have many things of interest on the home page to draw the attention of a visitor and lure them inside the forum to perhaps join and participate in the discussions. Or at least read some good topics.

You are exact, and I had a plan to improve this in the near future. :)

Exactly again :D it is one of reasons why I wanted to design a homepage like that.
