Hi all,

We are seeking some opinion and advise on the above subject in order to expand our dedicated server services.

Mostly what you guy will consider as below:

1. Old hardware like xeon 3440, 3470, L5630 and etc at around USD60-USD80 per month
2. New hardware like E3-1230 v3 series, E5-2620 or any higher at around USD130 - USD300 per month.

This really depend on the type of customers you are trying to attract.

You could offer both? I've checked your website and you are already selling E3/E5 machine so maybe add some permanent special for your old hardware in stock?

Does this still guarantee the speed for a website to run?
and they also are same RAM, Disk usage...etc?
Sorry I don't understand more about web hosting hardware.

Hardware can said its like a car. Newer model shall have better performance. However, if you are light usage user, you may found nothing different between old model and newer model. e.g, u drive 5 years old mercedes at 60km/h, you wont see much different to compare new mercedes. when you drive 180km/h, you shall see the different.

of cause, performace drop due to hardware failure is consider another story.

in conclusion, you have to look at your usage then only can define the right server for your own.
