When you're adding a new property to Analytics for the first time, on the new account page where you're asked for the URL etc, you're also asked if you want to share your details, information etc with Google products and services, for benchmarking, technical support and account specialists. Now when you are faced with this option, do you leave all of them checked as default, or do you only select some or none?

Obviously, this is just Analytics tracking, so whether you share your data or not, it can't effect your on-page/off-page SEO in any way. That's a separate entity.

Although, saying that, most online SEO checkers and appraisal sites, do list whether Analytics was found as part of their SEO score.

So maybe I'm asking the wrong question. Maybe a better question to ask is, what is the recommended setting or does that really not matter and is just down to preference?

Obviously I can understand that at some point down the line, if your site gets really big, that sharing that data with specialists for benchmarking and diagnosing could be useful.

Just as Analytics data always is later down the line. Example; if you come to sell that site or need to see more details on your traffic/activity etc.

And of course there's always whether or not sharing is considered when a manual review of your site is done by Google team following a manual investigation should it so.

Is whether you're sharing your Analytics data looked at and considered by Google in anyway or is that just purely fluff and not sharing anything is just as fine.

Fill me in.

First, most SEO checkers out there that score sites are total garbage. They include stuff like text/HTML ratio, keyword density, and whether or not Google Analytics is on the site. None of that has anything to do with SEO.

(okay, you can make an argument about keyword density, but the typical "you must have a density between 3-5%" stuff is garbage)

Google is not using Analytics data. They can't. They have to try to grade each webpage by an equal set of standards. Most websites do not use Google Analytics. There is only a fraction of sites using it, so they don't have the data on most pages to use it even if they wanted to.

That's what I thought, thanks for the insight.

So not sharing any data makes absolutely no difference if you do or don't.

Just Google being Google trying to find out as much as they can about you.

This is really an interesting discussion/question

According to me, it will not affect to your ON and OFF Page SEO but it is helping Google analyze your site and know which is bad or good on your site.

I am getting confused that we should remove Google analytics and Google webmaster tool so it will be better for our site's SEO?

How you said Most websites do not use Google Analytics while your site is using it? does it help you to view number of visitors to your site or keyword rankings on G search engines?

Google has released data in the past on how many sites are using Google Analytics. It's a very small percentage of the total websites online. They cannot factor in data they get from Analytics for SERP rankings because they don't have the data for most websites.

It is true that when the site becomes really large, this exchange of data with specialists for benchmarking and diagnostics may be useful. But when the site increases, there are such https://www.owox.com/blog/articles/direct-traffic/ problems with direct traffic. Therefore, immediately it is necessary to take into account a number of factors. Has anyone already encountered this in practice?

I don't think it will affect SEO, anyway it is just a tool to analyze your website traffic. It is not a SEO tool or helping SEO :)
