Hey, everyone! I'm an administrator on Website Forums. We're still a pretty new forum, so I don't expect to rank too high on Google/Bing yet; however, it still bears asking; does anyone see anything I can do to get a better SEO rating? The SEO is horrible on the forum, and it's at about the point where I think it could be better. I have a custom SEO plugin for XenForo, and nothing else installed ATM. If anyone has any plugin tips, that would be appreciated too! Thanks for all help in advance.

For the most part plugins, are not going to make your SEO efforts better. It comes down to content. I personally have a forum focussed on the topic of wordpress and woocommerce, and running the XenForo platform with no SEO plugins. Traffic for me.. is not an issue. The secret as with any other web property is content targeting. Looking at your Forum, ther is content, but the topics need to be drilled down a bunch more I would say.

As an example I looked at your Wordpress Board... all of the topics of discussion were WordPress this and WordPress. that What theme for this and so on... Nothing specific.. justkind of in the evergreen as I like to say.

I noticed the same on many of your other boards... So yeah I would say its not about plugins or structure..its all about the content on your ite and its lack of ability to draw the needed traffic. Start focussing on developing some content that is a bit more focused and you might just turn it around.

Maybe "SEO plugin" name is lying you...why you think it will improve your SEO ratings for your forum on search engines?
What is SEO plugin that you are using for your forum? and which are its features? write down and we can need to have an analytic for it

I agree with you "The secret as with any other web property is content targeting"

but why not quite agree with this "Traffic for me.. is not an issue"?, as said you are working on the topics of wordpress and woocommerce, if you don't have trafffic you will not generate any sales or getting customers for your sites/forums?

According to me, traffic is the most important thing the we should focus on to make a forum successful or not

Traffic is not an issue for me, because I get on average 50K uniques a month, and im in a change up process right now to get out of my traffic rut, and make some slight changes in targeting to expand my overall traffic reach.

The biggest thing I did to increase my traffic flow... On many Wordpress Woocommerce sites they have tutorials about how to do this and that... I brought the tutorials to the forum itself. So instead of using the post format everyone is accustomed to seeing, I placed the posts right in the forum.. made the communication between me and my readers far easier and then took the added step, thatthey needed to sign up in order to "Ask a question" this in itself sent my "list" through the roof.

Back up the forum content with a parallel YouTube channel.. basically using the same content and replicating over and over.. I have no issues with traffic! haha
