Your Hosting Software?

Hi guys, Which is your current web hosting software that you are using?
It can be Webmin, directadmin, cpanel, VestaCP or what is your favorite one?

If you're talking strictly about the control panel, then cPanel/WHM is the most robust solution in my book. There's a lot of other software involved in a proper web hosting platform though - but it appears you're strictly talking control panels.

Cpanel all day!

I use Site 5 to host my sites. Their support is unmatchable. And their Admin panel comes with Cpanel automatically. Others companies base their structure off of Cpanel but nothing compares

cPanel would be great one, and very easy to use. But if you consider to install on VPS, I think you should choose another one to save RAM.

I am using CPanel to manage my blogs. I would recommend CPanel/WHM as the easiest way to operate things. They are more reliable and easy to use and manage your websites.

cPanel is the Control Panel used to manage the software that you are using to host your website, and shouldn't be considered to be the software itself. Though, cPanel is the most powerful and robust Control Panel on the market to date, there are many others availible that are capable of similar functions however aren't backed by such a large development team resulting in a lack of features or functionality.

Currently, we utilize cPanel as our customer Control Panel and the following software is what we use to host websites:

- CloudLinux w/ CageFS
- Apache w/ Varnish Cache
- PHP, Ruby on Rails, Perl, Pyton, Etc.
- MariaDB10, PostgresSQL, SQLite
- Numerous Security Softwares & Malware Detection Suites

These are typical softwares that will be used to power traditional websites, and cPanel gives a layer of control to people whom don't have the experience in direct management of these softwares or want to simplify things.

I would be careful in the coming months with Site5, as they were just acquired by EIG.

For PHP based Web Hosting, cPanel is the most widely used control panel. It offers easy to use and powerful tools that allow users to handle hosting accounts and websites easily.

cPanel facilitates users and administrators to manage domains, websites, file management, database , email and software configurations, settings and security, etc. It is the most popular choice of almost all Web Hosting providers because of its user friendly design and simplicity. For ASP based web hosting, there is no match for WebsitePanel.
